Supportive Workshops for Therapists
Part One:
Art As Self-Care using the Life Enrichment Model
Elevate the well-being of yourself or your team through innovative self-care techniques!
Combining restorative art-making, creative team collaboration, and education, I host a three hour workshop that will change the way you or your team approaches self-care, no art experience or skill required.
Here’s what you can expect:
Education on contemporary neuroscience of restorative art making and self-care for mental health
Introduction to The Life Enrichment Model by Lisa Hinz, PhD, ATR-BC.
Interactive art processes to experience benefits yourself
Collaborative creation of individualized self-care plans
Part Two:
Art As Self-Care through processing countertransference
Deepen the resilience and emotional wellness of yourself or your team through part two of my workshop series.
A heart can become burdened through countertransference, the death or loss of clients, and stressors elevated by our personal lives.
Whether it is a current, recent, or distant past client, many of us have a story that touches us in a deep way.
Part Two is designed for teams who have already participated in my Part One workshop, and would like to delve deeper into the use of art as processing as self-care.
Here’s what you can expect:
Deeper discussion on the neuroscience of restorative art making
A three-step guided art directive designed by me to increase differentiation and process countertransference experiences
Group dynamic to facilitate shared transformation and insights

Reviews:
“I never learned how to paint or draw, but I was still able to participate in this workshop with joy. I was surprised how easy it was to participate with zero skills! In the end, I experienced a healing in my heart just following the directions given by Danielle. Thank you Danielle for such a positive experience!”
-Karen, participant
"The workshop was very inspiring. Danielle's empathetic guidance was very comforting and provided a safe space to engage with my personal topics in a creative way and make progress."
-Arani, participant

While my workshops use art therapy principles and are based on art therapy research, they are not art therapy. Art therapy requires a therapeutic relationship and seeks to accomplish specific therapeutic goals, agreed upon by both client and therapist.
